Yep, Covid-19, life & work work work just on going! I pray all is well for you that read my blogs. We are ok here through the grace of God. I'm in the process of re-vamping my website. I have online & in-studio (must have membership) class options and working on streaming options for those that can't attend either on Moxie.xyz. More to come. Right now its food time! Cajun Roast! A family favorite that can be spiced up or down! This meal is easy easy to make! Just a few ingredients and a bunch of patience as you smell it roasting for supper! Credit for this meal goes to a long time friend of mine, Bree. She introduced this meal to me and I add 1 more ingredient to it.
Hello all!
I pray you are taking care of yourselves during the new normal! We are ok here. Sorry for being away for so long. Between the holidays, personal life & the pandemic, time just got away. Again, its just me here promoting my love to bootybarre, Pilates & now Zyia. In brief, my hopes for this website have gone to the back burner. I wanted to post more recipes & insightful weight lost blogs about me. I was working on a huge project that I with some weight gain & now lose. I will share it later. I've got great recipes to offer. However, I get too technical with my detials and push it to the side. I just love to educate. I've made a few minor adjustments to my website. I am aiming to test out on my National Academy of Sports Medicine Fitness Nutrition Specialist Training this week. I've been pushing that off too. For now, I'm offering virtual Zoom classes to keep people moving during the pandemic. Though its not required, I am ask for $5 donation per class. I take Venmo or Paypal if you decide to donate. I had to upgrade my home equipment as I do not have my own studio. Please see my social media accounts for log in detials to join me. Feel free to drop a note here, email or DM on social media for more questions or concerns. Hello all! I've been so busy since my last blog in July. I went on vacation, the kiddos back to school & activities plus building my clientele with a bunch of new people. If you are new to my website & blog my apologizes. I've gotten lazy & been watching too much TV (blog about that coming). My classes have gotten bigger therefore my energy needs to be on target with a great flow. My energy has been blah too which encouraged a blog to come! On top of that I dove back into my Fitness Nutrition studies with NASM so I can progress to becoming Certified Food Coach. I have 2 blogs sitting in my draft folder (recipe & a rant) & the list is on going. I've come across a lot of improvements in my cooking & recipes too. Therefore, I will be reorganizing a few recipes that I have all ready posted. Again, its just me here running the show lol! What are you talking about, Wendy? A little background: I was first introduced to 60 day challenge through several programs. But, it was bootybarreburn (BBB) that really stuck out to me! Why? "Food & Fitness Together" in 1 program in chapters. The other programs offered meals & follow this workout flow that was the same thing the whole time. I would have failed like the other programs but I didn't because of the support group online to keep me motivated. With, (BBB) I "learned about me" for the first time. Below is Video #1 as I restart my journey again! No, set goals just awareness. Video #1 - Getting Started … AgainMy homemade spaghetti sauce recipe is a family favorite for many years! I grew up eating jarred sauce thinking that's how spaghetti sauce should be. I had no idea how to even try to make it. Over 15 years ago, my mother in law made a huge pot of sauce & I fell in love. I've been working on perfecting this recipe since with my own twist. Standard questions I think about before I change a recipe! Do I go with this straight recipe? Cook with the recipe 1st to see what you want to change later. After, make notes & take it away! Why? Recipes are a great guide for discovering taste likes & dislikes. We all have different taste buds. What I might like is not something you care for. Your taste is key! Can I change this recipes ingredients? Absolutely! I designed my recipes to caters to the vegetarian, "no-red meat" eater or down home folks! Look for the red notes for changes to the above! The FACTS! In a hurry? No problem. Click below! But, come back to this blog for additional detials!
I've been so busy since my last post 5/2 that I have lost track of time. Between Pilates training, teaching new Pilates options, my regular schedule, the kiddos out of school, still cooking for a crowd & now summer …. I'm like :O where's the time gone! Also, I had to request an extension my food education with NASM. Great! More studying but its ok because it was getting to be too much.
In addition, its summer time so people are taking vacations & I'm subbing a lot of classes. A few weeks back, I subbed mat Pilates for the first time at Cabot Community Center upstairs group exercise room. What does this mean? For the last 2 years, I have only been teaching downstairs in the barre/cycling room. So, going upstairs was a completely different experience to teach in. I'm out of my comfort zone! I'm still here so don't fret! I haven't swam the English channel! lol! I have had several projects come my way that I had to attend too. One of them is a picture below! I can't tell you what it is because it's not "my" project but a hint is over on my classes page! I will post about my experience as it was a surprise to be asked to assist! I am so excited to share it because it's going to rock!
My other projects have wrapped up & now I have to get back to my nutrition studies again. Unfortunately, I will not be making my deadline & will have to extend into the summer. Drats! UGH! It's ok, my own fault for pushing it to the side. This weekend I am off to more mat Pilates training too! Level 3 …. BURN LOL! Before, I go full swing into studying, I will be posting my Spaghetti Sauce Recipe on the blog in a few weeks!! Then Roasted Burgers after that! I seriously don't make them enough! I try to aim for monthly blogs since its just me here lol! Until my next blog. Keep an eye out on my social media page where I update the most! Cheers & peace! ~ Wendy Yep! I was the statement "you are what you eat". I was a cheese burger/pizza loving, donut craving, ice cream eating, sugar junkie; that loves chips of all kinds. It showed on the outside. I grew up on meat, tators & canned items. Vegetables where merrily a suggestion of my intake in my 20s & early 30s. I had to take years of steps before I stepped into the bootybarreBurn food program. More on that later! The steps to eliminate bad choices of my youth started in 2000 but I ignored it. I had to eliminate ice cream while pregnant because I would toss it right back up. After my child was born, I went right back to the ice cream not caring about the belly pain I had after.
